Ode to the Dolle’s Sign Summer Poetry Contest
Proudly presented by Delaware Poets, Inc. and The Rehoboth Beach Historical Society and Museum!
For more than 111 years, the Dolle’s Sign stood as an unmistakable landmark above the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. It became part of generations of summer memories, from chewing saltwater taffy by the beach to racing along the boardwalk toward Funland beneath its familiar orange shine.
To celebrate the history of this beloved sign and its enduring connection to Delaware, The Delaware Poets Almanac partnered with the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society and Museum for a special statewide poetry contest.
